Love This City exists to provide general help, assistance, support and direct relief in the community from poverty, suffering, misfortune, distress, sickness, disability and helplessness.
We have a heart to love God, and love people, and through Love This City we have been able to provide support to thousands of Gold Coast families. Each and every week we meet with members of the community doing it tough, and in being able to provide a practical need we also see hope ignited.
We are committed to seeing our city transformed through partnership and community, as we help people emotionally, practically, and spiritually and see our vision for a thriving, healthy and connected community become a reality.
Love This City is more than just words - we are an army of volunteers who put ideas into action, loving and serving our community in many ways. Everyone can invest time into intentional acts of service and love. Each of us has different gifts, abilities, interests and experiences that allow us to reach out, serve and meet the needs of our neighbours in different ways.
Loving This City is about taking hold of the unique opportunities that we are presented with each day to make a difference, pay it forward and simply make someone’s life a little bit brighter.

A little of our story —
Love This City has impacted over 10,000 people through the service of hundreds of volunteers, with the aim to create a thriving, healthy and connected community. From a desire to ‘Love God and Love People’, Love This City Inc was established through OurChurch in 2003.
OurChurch has been serving the people of our beautiful city since 1973, and has always had a culture of love and generosity. For too long the worldwide church has been known for what they are against. Through initiatives such as Love This City, OurChurch wants to be known for what they are FOR. OurChurch is FOR families, for schools, for businesses, for community, for you. For the Gold Coast.
Meet Ruth —
Ruth Arnold - Love This City Director
Ruth is an experienced and compassionate leader, dedicated to seeing the Gold Coast community thrive, healthy and connected.
She has spent three decades leading projects in the not-for-profit sector, including the building of a medical centre in Ghana, an orphanage in India, and now, making a difference in her home community on the Gold Coast.
With a unique mix of not-for-profit and corporate experience, Ruth brings financial and strategic acumen to her role. Ruth is highly respected and regarded and is known as a connector and collaborator within the community. She holds strong relationships across all sectors on the Gold Coast, including local government, faith based communities and other not-for-profit organisations.
Under Ruth’s leadership, Love This City continues to deliver transformational change to the Gold Coast community.
