Covid-19 Response
Love This City responded in a practical way to
those impacted by the coronavirus pandemic on the gold coast.

We would like to thank and acknowledge the City of Gold Coast's Covid Community Organisation Hardship Grants Program. The City of Gold Coast generously donated $5000 to Love This City to help with our COVID-19 Community Meals Program, enabling us to continue to support our local community through the provision of grocery and fuel vouchers to those requiring emergency assistance.
A partnership was formed with the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) who donated the use of their commercial kitchens and staff to create meals, and linked arms with schools, churches and other support agencies including Global Care right here on the Gold Coast.
Fresh, nutritious and delicious meals were made by the team at GCCEC, which were supplied to families and individuals who were financially impacted through loss of jobs, businesses and reduction in shifts, senior citizens who were self isolating, front line health workers and vulnerable children and women.
It's in times of crisis that we discover just how much we can do, when we partner together to give hope and love in such practical ways.
With thousands of meals being delivered each week, love and generosity were certainly in action!
There were so many in our community doing it tough, and the community partnership with organisations made this possible.
