DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SUPPORT - Clothes for one Woman
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SUPPORT - Clothes for one Woman
Provide clean clothing for a survivor of domestic violence.
When a domestic or family violence survivor presents to hospital they are in a vulnerable state, often bloody, bruised and distressed. They are in need of clean, soft clothing. Going home to get clothing or purchase new clothing is not an option. Providing this basic necessity greatly increases the chances of them taking their first step toward freedom from abuse.
$80 clothes one woman with dignity, including underwear, outerwear, footwear, hat and glasses.
The Dress Her With Dignity program, run by charity Convoy of Hope in partnership with local churches and organisations, currently runs in the Northern Territory with plans to launch its much-needed service on the Gold Coast.
